Wrestling=Oldest Sport?
Did you know that wrestling is the oldest sport ever?! Wrestling dates back even BEFORE 776 B.C. Thats stupid old! The sport was always popular but as time went on it got more and more developed with diffe rent rules and regulations. The sport is still very popular and it is played all around the world. Its more modernized than it was in its early stages though
According to the article "8 Oldest Sports in the World" depiction of the sport were first found in caves "near the Lascaux caves in France over 15,300 years ago". These cave drawings depicted two men using different grappling techniques. Obvisouly they are trying to make one another submit. This was the most crude form of wrestling. As said above there wasn't as many rules and regulations. As time progressed it became more civilized . Certain moves weren't allowed and limits were set.
Eventually the sport reached all around the world. certain faction/types started to pup up. Different types range to Greeco-Roman, Traditional Greek style and the "catch-wrestling style"(History of wrestling). The style of catch wrestling consisted of " pushing, lifting, tripping and other techniques using the lower body". Wrestling is definetly the world first sport. Just think, men have that macho attitude and would want to be stronger than the other. Also almost all siblings/friends play fight and wrestle without knowing anything about wrestling.
